Dr. Robert H. Odell Jr. MD., Ph.D.
Dr. Robert H. Odell Jr. MD., Ph.D. is owner and Medical Director of Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America in Las Vegas specializing in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management. He was an engineering and liberal arts major at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with high honors. As a fellow of the Medical Scientist Training Program, he received both his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and his MD degree from Stanford University. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at UCLA and served as chief resident at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice of the World Institute of Pain.
As a practicing pain management physician, Dr. Odell has extensive experience with a wide range of non-interventional and interventional acute and chronic pain management techniques. Over the years, Dr. Odell has been working with some advanced electromedical devices which produce favorable effects for treating neuropathy and other more difficult to treat pain management challenges. David J. Smith, M.D. is Board Certified in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He is an Associate member of The American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
With over 27 years of experience in implantation of spinal cord stimulators and infusion pumps, his expertise in this area of medical implants has decreased pain, restored function and helped patients manage their painful conditions. Dr. Smith’s approach is to evaluate each patient and develop a personalized treatment plan based on the patient’s needs. He is focused on alleviating your chronic pain so that you can return to the active lifestyle you once enjoyed.

Robert has known Dr. Bob Odell for over seven years. He respects Dr. Odell for the deep commitment and care that he provides all his patients. Along with Dr. Odell and the staff at Neuropathy and Pain Centers of America, Robert Brown’s number one concern is meeting the needs of the patients.
He believes in creating a culture where patients “don’t buy what you do, but buy why you do it.” Robert says, “We do it because we believe every life is precious and allowing our patients to live a high quality of life is the most important thing we can offer our patients.” He is passionate about that. His priority is to build the practice and bring in more providers so patients can be offered additional specialties to continue to meet their needs.
Robert Brown has lived the last 20 years in Southern California. He’s been married 24 yrs. He has two adult children. He is devoted to his family and enjoys the closeness of family. He considers Las Vegas his second home. He has owned MSO for five yrs. He’s been in sales and management in the medical field for eleven years. Robert has worked with many pain management doctors around the country. Barbara Ruscingno has been professionally involved in the healthcare delivery system since 1970. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a BSN in nursing. She received her MSN at UNLV and graduated in 2008. She was inducted into the Nursing Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau in 2008. She was awarded the prestigious honor of Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2017 by AANP for the state of Nevada.
Her medical service to the public has centered around education of her patients to know what the human body can do for each individual patient.
